At Canyon Planning & Design, I aim to provide all clients with excellent communication and tireless work behind the scenes to help merge your personal lifestyle and taste with the latest trends to help you achieve your dream home. Why should we choose to work with Canyon Planning & Design? 

 

With Canyon Planning & Design, you will not only receive interior design assistance, but also a Project Manager who will go the extra mile to make sure that all of your building needs are met. Establishing clear lines of communication with your builder eliminates the stress and concern of project delays and/or mix-ups. We provide updated timelines and schedule materials selection meetings which ensure that the building process moves smoothly and efficiently. Having been through the process myself has allowed me to experience, first-hand, the importance of having an ally who will keep the homeowner apprised of not just the major components of your build, but also the smaller more unique aspects which set your custom home or project apart from all the rest.

 

 

How is Canyon Planning & Design different from other project managers and/or interior designers? 

 

I pride myself on excellent communication and attention to detail.  In addition to the online client portfolio,  at the end of your build or remodel, you will also receive a printout of all the selections made, paint colors, sub-contractors contact info, etc.  This will be helpful down the road if you ever have to do any touch ups or have questions.  If you happen to sell, the new buyers would also greatly appreciate having this information available to them.

What kind of communication can I expect to receive?

It is vital that we all work as a team. To that end, frequent and consistent communication from you, myself, your builder and their subcontractors is practiced frequently. I expect to be at your build site several times each week checking in with your builder and subcontractors and provide, at a minimum, weekly communication updates. Each client has a detailed online portfolio created for them which will catalog homeowner decision, material and finish selection choices, inspiration photos/vision boards and timelines/checkpoints for your building progress. This portfolio is meant to be shared with both the client and builder so everyone has a place to add notes, questions and/or comments, all viewable in real time. Text messages, emails and even phone calls may be missed or misinterpreted, so having all communication kept in one spot is a gamechanger that keeps all parties informed and clear on the latest decisions made thus allowing for smooth transition through your build.

What is the best time to get Canyon Planning & Design involved in my project? 

 

The earlier, the better! I would love to help you find the perfect house plan and am able to provide input on available lots and potential builders in your area. The planning stage is so important so you want to make sure that you have it correct in your final blueprints. There are many things to consider about your potential lot beyond size. I will assist you in looking at things which many homeowners may forget about, such as having proper orientation on the lot, potential traffic patterns and flow. I can help with all of these important elements. Plan changes can add up quickly and increase expense and time. Let's get it right before you dig!

What costs are associated with utilizing the services of Canyon Planning & Design?

Every project I work on is different.  I can assist "start-to finish" on a brand new build, or a simple upgrade to one room.  The best way to get started is to schedule a free 30-minute consultation to discuss your project.  After that meeting, you will be provided with a project estimate before making any commitment.

What are your typical work hours?​

 

When you love what you do, it doesn't feel like work.  I have a flexible schedule and can be available nights and weekends as well.  For example, if you find it difficult to get to a showroom to make selections during regular business hours, I am happy to go select a few options that I am confident will fit your style and then bring them to show you at a time most convenient for you.​​​​​

Is Canyon Planning & Design exclusive to working with certain builders? 

 

​No.  I am open to working directly with any builder, or will help you find one that will suit your needs.  I consider my clients like family and would only recommend a builder that I would use myself.  Building a custom home is not cheap, so you want to make sure you are making a good choice in a builder that will deliver a quality home that will last you a lifetime.

What is your client/jobsite radius? 

​​​

I am happy to work with clients within an approximate 30-mile radius of Appleton, WI. Green Bay, Fox Valley and Oshkosh along with all surrounding communities are included.
